Earlier reports emerged that the Blues are not actively looking to part ways with Jackson, despite the striker falling down the pecking order under Enzo Maresca. The Blues reportedly continue to insist on a valuation in the region of £100 million ($135m) for the player.

According to journalist Nabil Djellit the Premier League giants have softened their stance on Jackson and will be willing to offload him at a price of around €70 million (£60m/$81m). The journalist further claimed that the club will make a final call after the conclusion of the Club World Cup.

English clubs like Manchester United and Aston Villa have shown interest in the forward, while reigning Italian champions Napoli are also keen on signing the player.

For now, the Blues are fully focused on winning the Club World Cup title as they face Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the final on Sunday in New Jersey.
