- Turkish club lining up ambitious bid
- Rashford wants to leave United
- Heart set elsewhere
Per beIN Sports, Fenerbahce are ready to trigger Rashford’s €40m release clause, but they face disappointment in their attempt to recruit the England international. Reports have suggested that the forward has closed off all other options but Barcelona if he leaves Manchester United, as he attempts to complete a move to Camp Nou.
Fenerbahce have sent a representative to England to conduct talks with both United and Rashford, but they are unlikely to convince the forward to move to Türkiye amid Barca’s ongoing interest. Fener, though, sense an opportunity given that the Liga giants are yet to table a formal bid.
Rashford has officially asked to leave the club and is currently training alone. Nevertheless, he appears to be waiting, and keeping his powder dry, as he awaits movement from Catalonia.
United play Leeds in a pre-season friendly on June 19. Rashford is unlikely to be involved.
