Club America might have finally found their answer in their long pursuit for a pacey attacking winger as the club has reportedly signed France international Allan Saint-Maximin from Al-Ahli in a $13.9 million (€12M) transfer, according to ESPN.

The 28-year-old will sign a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year, becoming the tenth club in his professional career. He plays primarily as a left winger and is coming off a season where he scored four goals and added 10 assists in 31 appearances for the Saudi side. Known for his world-class dribbling ability, Saint-Maximin rose to stardom while playing for Newcastle United in the Premier League. He made 111 league appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals.u0026nbsp;
This move puts some uncertainty towards America’s reported pursuit of LAFC star Denis Bouanga, who plays the same position as Saint-Maximin.u0026nbsp;
The Frenchman posted a photo on his Instagram account boarding a plane with the caption: “Everything that has a beginning has an end, but every end is the start of a new beginning.”
Saint-Maximin, who has previously played for Monaco, Hannover 96, and Newcastle United, made his biggest impact in England, tallying 124 overall appearances for the Magpies before a €32 million move to Al-Ahli.
André Jardine’s América squad faces Minnesota United Saturday in a must-win Leagues Cup match to advance to the next round.
