Former goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski believes that despite Lewandowski’s success at Barca, things are not all that rosy for him at the Catalan outfit. The Polish legend added that the 36-year-old should head to the Middle East as he is not being properly utilised by his Blaugrana team-mates.

He said to Super Express via Mundo Deportivo: “Robert should finish his time at Barcelona right now and go to a ‘lighter’ club in Saudi Arabia, as the best players in the world have done, except [Lionel] Messi.

“Let’s face it, this is the end. Robert is not very popular in the team, and the best players in Barcelona don’t pass the ball to him.”

Even though Lewandowski turns 37 later this month, the Pole has shown no signs of slowing down just yet. Last season he scored a whopping 42 goals as Barcelona won a La Liga and Copa del Rey double. The veteran striker has made it clear he wants to stay at the club, too, despite Saudi links.u0026nbsp;

The former and star could feature for Barcelona in their next pre-season game against South Korean side Daegu on Monday, before rounding off their warm-up fixtures against on Sunday.
