Topps officially announced its return to the Premier League trading card market after securing licensing rights for the 2025-26 season. The company unveiled plans for a phased global release strategy, with UK retail distribution beginning Aug. 7, followed by international and European retail on August 21, and specialty hobby boxes launching Sept. 17. The announcement highlighted several premium card categories, including Chrome King Legend Cards featuring past stars and ultra-rare Diamond Rookie Cards limited to just 10 top prospects.
This licensing agreement represents a significant shift in the sports trading card landscape, as Topps returns to producing Premier League cards after previously losing licensing rights to its competitors, Panini.
Collectors can prepare for the initial UK retail release on Aug. 7, with hobby shops and international retailers receiving product later in August and September.
