Marcus Rashford will take a significant pay cut to complete his dream move to Barcelona as the Catalan giants close in on signing the Manchester United outcast on loan this summer. The Blaugrana are in advanced talks with United over a temporary deal and the transfer is expected to be completed at the start of the week, as Rashford will finally end his nightmare at Old Trafford.

The Athletic reported on Saturday that are negotiating a loan move for Rashford with , as they look to bolster their squad with an attacker who can operate from the left side. Manager Hansi Flick reportedly met the 27-year-old before giving his green light to the club to sign the forward.

Mundo Deportivo has now revealed the details of Rashford’s loan deal, which includes a significant pay cut for the international. The Catalan giants do not have a compulsion to buy the player at the end of his loan spell next summer and even if they want to make the transfer permanent, they will have to pay €30 million (£26m/$34.8m). Rashford will also take a 25% pay cut in order to complete his dream move as Barcelona will not be able to register him on his current wages.

Rashford fell out of favour at shortly after Ruben Amorim took charge of the club. He was shipped off to on a short-term loan deal in January, where he made 17 appearances for Unai Emery’s side as he got his career back on track.

Rashford is expected to undergo his medical on either Sunday or Monday before being formally presented as a Barcelona player on Tuesday, July 22.
