- Chelsea interested in Simons deal
- Bayern Munich also monitoring developments
- Simons continuing to train
Per journalist Philipp Hinze, Simons is continuing to train with Leipzig ahead of pre-season. Chelsea are interested in signing the Netherlands international this summer and have reportedly agreed personal terms ahead of a potential €70 million (£61m/$82m) deal. Bayern Munich are also reportedly monitoring developments.
Leipzig have yet to receive a formal bid for the 22-year-old and, as a result, he is continuing to train, and is available to play for the club in pre-season. The Bundesliga club are continuing to demand a €70m fee and are not minded to reduce that asking price.
Simons is said to be keen on the idea of moving to the Premier League this summer, after enjoying a strong 2024/25 campaign; the Dutchman scored 11 goals and registered eight assists in 33 games in all competitions.
Leipzig play Toulouse in a pre-season friendly this weekend. Simons could well be involved.
