- Herons currently playing at Chase Stadium
- Constructing impressive new home
- Messi yet to trigger contract extension
The Herons are in the process of constructing a multi-purpose venue that will be their new home in MLS. Said structure, which will see Chase Stadium left behind, will boast a 25,000-seat capacity.
Big money is being invested in the grand project, with Manchester United legend and ex-England captain Beckham very much front and centre in that as he fills a role of co-owner at Inter Miami.
He has revealed on social media that a big build in the Sunshine State is “going up fast”. The images and video posted by Beckham suggest that the ground is a long way from completion, but positive progress is being made.
Inter Miami have stated in that past they hope to see eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi grace the field at their stunning new base. It may, however, be that he has moved on before the doors are flung open.
Argentine GOAT Messi is yet to trigger the 12-month extension option in his contract that will take him through 2026. He has been linked with teams in the Saudi Pro League, while seeing a return to his roots at Newell’s Old Boys is mooted, ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
