- 16-member panel of ex-players will advise FIFA to tackle racism
FIFA first announced the creation of a players’ voice panel during its annual congress in Thailand in May last year. Both men’s and women’s footballers are part of this 16-member panel and Weah has been named as its ‘honorary captain’.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino further added: “They will further push for a shift in football ثقافة, making sure measures to counter racism are not just talked about, but actioned, both on and off the pitch. Let’s be clear on this: racism and discrimination are not simply wrong – they are crimes. All incidents of racism, whether in stadiums or online, must be fully punished both by football and across society.”
Club football is on hold at the moment as the international break is on. وطني teams across the world are competiting in the 2026 كأس العالم qualifying games in their respective confederations.
