Grealish has been shining at after a tough time at last season. The 30-year-old has four assists in five games in all competitions for his new club and has helped the Toffees make a solid start to the new 2025-26 campaign. Grealish’s form has also been recognised by the as he saw off competition from the likes of , Hugo Ekitike and Joao Pedro to win the first Player of the Month award of the new season.

Yet Grealish’s form may also earn him a chat with manager Moyes. Royal Blue podcast journalist Gavin Buckland thinks that the two men may well sit down for a conversation soon.

“I would imagine there will be a conversation at Finch Farm this week between Moyes and Grealish, that says: ‘Listen, Jack. You’re playing really well at the moment. August Player of the Month, but there are occasions where you’re overplaying it,'” said Buckland. “At City, you could probably get away with that because you have so much of the ball, but at Everton you do not have the same opportunities. I thought he was guilty of that [vs ].”

Moyes has already admitted how impressed he’s been with Grealish. The Everton boss said after their 3-2 win over Wolves: “He is even better than I thought. He probably needs a bit of love and attention. He needs the game as well. Hopefully he starts building on it and he gets even better as the season goes on. He is making a big difference. Whether it is his assists, his presence, lots of things.”

Grealish’s form has also seen him tipped to return to the squad under Thomas Tuchel. Former England and Everton star Wayne Rooney feels that Grealish could be handed a recall if he maintains his current form.

Everton and Grealish return to action on Saturday in the Merseyside ضد at Anfield. Moyes will certainly look to Grealish for inspiration in the famous fixture as the Toffees aim to inflict a first defeat of the season on Arne Slot’s high-flying Reds.
