- Mbappe was a ريال مدريد fan as a child
- Loved to watch رونالدو for club and country
- Superstar’s mum reveals all
Mbappe fulfilled a childhood dream in the summer of 2024 when he secured a blockbuster transfer to Real Madrid upon the expiration of his باريس سان جيرمان contract. The فرنسا star admitted he had always dreamed of playing for Los Blancos as a child at his unveiling ceremony at Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe was inspired by Real Madrid superstars such as Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo and will be hoping to follow in their footsteps and bring more silverware to the Spanish giants during his time with the club. The كأس العالم winner’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has now revealed just how much of a Ronaldo fan her famous son was as a child.
Fayza Lamari told ليكيب: “It started with Zidane. From the age of four. Then there was Ronaldo when he arrived in Manchester, then Real. Then there was Robinho, رونالدينيو… As for Cristiano… Kylian was Portuguese in his head. For him, he was Portuguese. He would go to a friend’s father’s house to watch البرتغال matches and support Ronaldo (laughs). He was in love. He would say: ‘I’m Portuguese.’ It lasted a very long time!”
Mbappe will be back in Real Madrid colours after the international break on Saturday against ريال سوسيداد in La Liga.
