and Toluca are set to face off on Oct. 1 in the 2025 Campeones Cup, a clash between the reigning champions of MLS and . The match will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles.

Toluca earned their spot in the annual showdown after a convincing 3-1 win over Club América in the Campeón de Campeones, a victory that also marked their fifth title in that competition. LA Galaxy, meanwhile, secured their place in the match as the reigning MLS champions.

Tickets for the match will go on sale starting July 22.

The Campeones Cup was launched in 2018 as a showdown between the champions of MLS and Liga MX. Since its inception, the trophy has been lifted three times by MLS clubs and three times by Liga MX sides.

However, the last two editions were won by Mexican teams – and América – meaning LA Galaxy will be aiming to bring the title back to the States for the first time since 2022, when NYCFC defeated .

Greg Vanney’s team will face Houston Dynamo on the road Friday in MLS Matchday 25.
