- Disney+ documentary up for more awards
- Reynolds reacts on social media
- Sends poignant message of support
Welcome to Wrexham has received three Emmy nominations ahead of the 2025 awards. The updated Disney+ and FX documentary, showing the club’s rise from the non-league to the Championship, has received nods for Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Reality Program, Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program.
Reynolds has reacted in a typically understated fashion, posting a message addressed to the local Wrexham community on Instagram. The documentary has already won eight Emmys, having been nominated for a total of 15.
Reynolds wrote on an Instagram post that included a carousel of memories from his time as Wrexham owner: “Numbers, years, and space can’t contain how proud I am of the Welcome to Wrexham team. And huge congratulations to the entire town of Wrexham. Your stories of joy, perseverance and pain are yours. Sharing those stories is not only generous, but it’s made the world a better place. Up The Town.”

The 2025 Emmys will take place on September 15. Reynolds and fellow Hollywood co-owner Rob McElhenney are likely to both be in attendance as the date does not clash with a Wrexham fixture; they will play QPR in the Championship on September 13.
