أعرب روبرتو دي زيربي، مدرب مارسيليا، عن دهشته من التغيير الذي طرأ على ماسون غرينوود، نجم مانشستر يونايتد السابق، بعد عودته إلى الفريق استعدادًا للموسم الجديد بمستوى أفضل. ويتألق غرينوود بعد عطلته، حيث سجل أربعة أهداف في مباراتين وديتين، من بينها ثلاثية ضد فريق إكسلسيور ماسلاوس الهولندي.

Greenwood had a dream debut campaign in last season after permanently leaving . He scored 22 goals across all competitions for Marseille and narrowly missed out on the Golden Boot to Ousmane Dembele.

Now the forward has returned to France and is looking forward to picking up from right where he left off in the 2024-25 campaign. Marseille boss De Zerbi is happy to see an improved version of the 23-year-old, as the Italian coach hailed Greenwood’s efforts to remain in good shape during the off-season.

When asked if he was surprised by Greenwood’s sharpness, De Zerbi replied: “He looked very good when he resumed training. He’s a different Mason. He’s building on what he achieved last season. He worked hard during the holidays. When he runs like this, he’s better than the others.”

The Ligue 1 giants will be back in action on Tuesday as they take on Valencia in another pre-season friendly in Tarragona.
