- De Zerbi surprised to see different Greenwood
- Has scored four goals in two friendlies
- مرسيليا face Valencia on Tuesday
Greenwood had a dream debut campaign in فرنسا last season after permanently leaving متحد. He scored 22 goals across all competitions for Marseille and narrowly missed out on the الدوري الفرنسي 1 Golden Boot to Ousmane Dembele.
Now the forward has returned to France and is looking forward to picking up from right where he left off in the 2024-25 campaign. Marseille boss De Zerbi is happy to see an improved version of the 23-year-old, as the Italian coach hailed Greenwood’s efforts to remain in good shape during the off-season.
When asked if he was surprised by Greenwood’s sharpness, De Zerbi replied: “He looked very good when he resumed training. He’s a different Mason. He’s building on what he achieved last season. He worked hard during the holidays. When he runs like this, he’s better than the others.”
The Ligue 1 giants will be back in action on Tuesday as they take on Valencia in another pre-season friendly in Tarragona.
