After an initial bid was deemed insufficient by the French club, Milan are preparing a new offer worth €22 million (£19m/$26m), including bonuses, according to Calciomercato. Strasbourg, however, continue to hold out for €30m (£26m/$35m) for the right-back.
Milan had shown interest in Almería defender Pubill, but he has since agreed to join Atletico Madrid after they swooped in to challenge Wolves, who reportedly made a superior bid for him. Coach Massimiliano Allegri has been determined to strengthen on both sides of the defence and hopes Doue, the brother of باريس سان جيرمان attacker Desire, will fill in at right-back.
Milan will need to repair their relationship with Strasbourg, who share ownership with Chelsea. The relationship between the owners reportedly became strained after Milan refused to sell goalkeeper Mike Maignan, with Chelsea unwilling to meet the club’s asking price.
Milan’s squad rebuild under Allegri continues, with the club pushing to secure the signing of Doue while also nearing a deal for Pervis Estupinan from Brighton. A move to Milan would represent a major step up for Doue, who is seen as an immediate upgrade on Emerson Royal, who has been linked with a potential switch to Turkish giants Besiktas.
