- أرسنال eye move for Rogers
- Havertz picked up a knee injury
- أستون فيلا unlikely to sell Rogers
According to The Sun, Arsenal will head back to the transfer market in search of an attacking player after Havertz picked up a knee injury this week. The report adds that the Gunners are eyeing a sensational swoop for Aston Villa star Rogers, who won the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2024-25 campaign.
Rogers is a player who can play in multiple roles in the attack and appears to perfectly suit Mikel Arteta’s system. Arteta reportedly personally congratulated the 23-year-old for winning his prize.
While Arsenal are expected to approach Aston Villa with an offer soon, it is unlikely that the Villans would part ways with their star player, as they are not compelled to sell any of their existing squad members, after parting ways with Jacob Ramsey, who joined Newcastle and Leon Bailey, who moved to روما on loan. Their current valuation of Rogers is £80 million ($108m).
Arteta’s men, who made a winning start to their 2025-26 campaign against Manchester متحد, will next face ليدز at home on Saturday.
