The Red Dragons, who have Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney calling the shots, continue to piece together ambitious recruitment plans. They have already broken their transfer record on a couple of occasions in the current window.
Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien is now their most elaborate purchase, and he could be joined at SToK Racecourse by two more players that boast top-flight and international experience.
According to Sky Sports Wrexham are closing in on ex-Wolves and Everton defender Coady. It is claimed that “negotiations accelerated” for the 32-year-old, 10-cap England international. There is said to be “willingness from all parties to come to an agreement” as the experienced centre-half severs ties with Leicester.
