According to TyC Sports, Argentina have scrapped their planned tour of الصين for that month and are working to arrange the clash with El Tri between Oct. 8 and Oct. 14. The same outlet reports that Argentina is expected to play a match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey – the venue that hosted the Club World Cup final and will also stage the 2026 World Cup final.
The Mexican Football Federation and the AFA have yet to confirm the fixture. The last encounter between these sides came at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, in which Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández secured a 2-0 win for the Albiceleste.
