The Gunners’ pre-season preparations take them to Singapore, where they will kick off their Asian tour with a clash against . Ahead of that fixture, manager Mikel Arteta has named his touring squad, which is headlined by the inclusions of new signings Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.

Madueke has been excluded, as the newly-acquired winger is rested after his exploits for at the Club World Cup. The squad is the expected blend of senior stars and highly-rated prospects.

The Gunners players will remain in Singapore for a clash with rivals Newcastle, before heading to Hong Kong to take part in the first north London to take place outside of the UK. While these pre-season festivities and preparations are kicking off, Arsenal’s brain trust will be working hard on securing the services of ‘s Viktor Gyokeres. The two clubs are still hammering out details over the terms of add-on fees in a deal that could be worth around £69m ($95m).
