With 21 appearances for Chivas and one goal in Liga MX, Guadalajara’s rising star Hugo Camberos has reportedly already attracted a lucrative offer from Belgian First Division side Club Brugge. The European club has reportedly made a bid to purchase 100 percent of the forward’s rights, according to TUDN.
Currently, Club Brugge sits sixth in the 2025-26 league table with six points, the result of two wins and one loss in their first three matches.
Hugo Camberos made his Liga MX debut this past January in a victory over Santos Laguna on Matchday 1 of the Clausura 2025. Since then, the Mexico youth international has scored once in that tournament and remains scoreless in the Apertura so far.
He also featured in three matches of the last Concacaf Champions Cup and once in the 2025 كأس الدوري, though he did not find the net in either competition. With the Mexican وطني team, he was called up for the Maurice Revello Tournament (formerly Toulon Tournament) with the U-20 squad.
Recently, Club Brugge advanced past RB Salzburg in the third qualifying round of the UEFA دوري أبطال أوروبا and are now in the playoff round, where they will face Scotland‘s رينجرز.
Camberos has been a regular across multiple Mexican youth national teams, scoring five goals in 12 matches with the U-16s, adding two goals in 12 appearances with the U-17s, and making two appearances with the U-18s.
Chivas will host FC Juárez this Saturday in Matchday 5 of the Apertura 2025.
