- Palmer rode an E-scooter through New York
- Fans questioned his preparations before the final
- Chelsea face PSG on Sunday evening
Palmer was his best unbothered self as he was spotted manoeuvring between civilians with his hood up in one of the busiest parts of New York, report The Sun. A viral video taken by a fan surfaced on social media, prompting supporters to question the 23-year-old’s preparation ahead of his Chelsea side’s showdown with European champions PSG.
While fans can be quick to poke fun at Palmer’s ways of unwinding before the game, his nonchalant, unconventional attitude has been well-known ever since his early interviews after he signed for Chelsea, highlighted by his tendency to be unapologetically himself and escape the constraints of regular media-trained expectations. This has never impacted Palmer on the pitch before and is unlikely to begin to do so now. If anything, his singularity in personality is probably something which helps him perform better when he steps onto the field.
Fans had their opinions to give about Palmer’s latest antics on social media nevertheless: “Cole mate you’ve got a final to win tomorrow lock in,” one fan said.
Another added: “Can someone tell bro we’re in a final tomorrow, honestly??”
A third fan wrote: “Bro let’s focus on the final we have a match on Sunday.”
Another simply said: “He’s just a big kid.”
Chelsea’s Club كأس العالم final against PSG will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, at 20:00 BST and will be broadcast live on DAZN. The Blues come into the match as underdogs but that will be of no concern to Enzo Maresca, Palmer and their side, who hope to go toe to toe with the likes of the Parisians in the Champions League next season. There is reportedly a cash prize of £29 million at stake for the winner of the match.
