U.S. international Benjamín Cremaschi entered Miami’s 2025 season with big expectations, but so far it has been a season of inconsistent playing time and constant changing of roles for the promising midfielder. The 20-year-old admitted he’s not happy with his current situation with the Herons.

“I’m frustrated, I want to play,” Cremaschi told reporters. “I think the most important thing for me is to be at a very high level, and to get there, I need minutes and experience. I’ve played very little in these recent games, and I don’t think it’s because of my level.

“I feel good and imagine it’s for other reasons, but I’m going to keep trying. Hopefully, in the next month and the coming weeks, I’ll get to play a bit more. Sometimes it happens, and you have to be strong to get through those moments.”

Cremaschi has logged just 55 minutes over Inter Miami’s last four matches in MLS and play.

Manager Javier Mascherano has used Cremaschi, a central midfielder, all over the pitch this season, ranging from wingback to attacking midfielder. While the American has put in strong work rate, the inconsistent role and playing time have affected his performances. However, minutes could open up as Federico Redondois set for a move to في .

Cremaschi also addressed the departures of Drake Callender and Redondo – the latter heading to – which could open the door for more opportunities.

“Drake was always a great teammate for me. He was there when I first joined the first team, so I’m grateful to him and wish him the best in this new stage. I know this year was tough for him with injuries and the surgery he had to undergo; hopefully, he’ll be back on the field soon,” he said.

He added, “With Fede, we’ve always had a great relationship. We have a fantastic group, and he’s someone who always wanted to bring people together. I also have to thank him for the moments he gave us at the club and wish him the best. I think he’ll do really well in Spain – it’s a top league and a great challenge for him, and we’ll be supporting him from here.”
