- Man Utd finished 15th last season
- Shaw says title challenge is now the aim
- Red Devils currently on tour in the U.S.
Ruben Amorim’s side are currently preparing for the new season after finishing the previous campaign down in 15th place in the table. The Red Devils were also beaten in the Europa League final by Spurs, meaning there will be no European football on offer for United in the coming campaign.
The club have attempted to strengthen the squad this summer by bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon. United are also hoping to sign a striker and are currently being linked with Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko. A الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز title challenge still looks a big ask, after finishing 42 points behind champions Liverpool, but Shaw says that is the aim ahead of the big kick-off next month.

He told Sky Sports: “The aim has to be winning the Premier League. I know people will be questioning me for saying it after last season, but it has to be that and it’s not just me that thinks that. I’m sure the whole team, if you ask them, they have the same aims. Even the manager, I’m sure he probably wouldn’t say it in the press, but we all have to have the same beliefs and ambitions, and that family feeling together, and we’ll strive for the same thing.”
Shaw has been linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer. The left-back is said to have attracted interest from the الدوري السعودي للمحترفين and could be tempted to leave after seeing Amorim bring in Patrick Dorgu and Leon since taking over as boss.
Manchester United are currently on a pre-season tour in the United States and started off with a 2-1 win over West Ham. The Red Devils take on Bournemouth next and then go on to face Everton.
