Trossard signed a new Arsenal contract earlier this month which will run until 2027 and includes a wage increase. The Belgian has been a consistent performer since joining the Gunners in January 2023, becoming a regular in Arteta’s squad. Despite rumours linking him with a summer exit, the extension has effectively ended that speculation.

Speaking to the media, Arteta said: “That situation has been resolved in a really great way and I think he deserves recognition, and we are very happy to have him.
