The winger had to be taken off just before half-time during the qualifier against Turkey on Sunday after sustaining an injury. The club issued an official statement to clarify his injury status, confirming a moderate adductor injury.

Following a dramatic summer window, where his move to was blocked by Athletic, and his contract was extended till 2035, Williams had started his campaign for the Basque club on a high note.
