Per The Guardian Chelsea are open to selling Jackson this summer as they pursue moves to sign Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons from و respectively. The Blues have signed Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, and Joao Pedro already this summer, but Jackson is said to prefer staying at the club despite the fact he is likely to fall down Enzo Maresca’s pecking order.

Newcastle have emerged as a suitor for Jackson as they run the risk of missing out on Benjamin Sesko, who appears set to move to the Red Devils instead. Ruben Amorim’s side have also been linked with Jackson, as have , but are unlikely to compete for his signature. The Blues have placed an £80 million ($107m) asking price on the international but Newcastle would be able to fund that if they agree to sell Alexander Isak to amid reports of a £150m ($200m) bid.

Jackson has made a total of 81 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals, and netted 10 Premier League strikes last season. He has a contract that runs until 2033 and it is unclear if the west London club will be able to convince him to walk away from a deal that still has eight years left to run.

Numerous dominoes need to fall if Newcastle are to fund their move for Jackson, not least the Chelsea striker being willing to move. Given that they have been repeatedly snubbed this summer, the Magpies will likely tread carefully.
