Morata’s loan spell with Galatasaray recently came to a tumultuous end as ميلان paid off the Turkish club to allow a transfer to Como to go through. The 32-year-old has played all around Europe during his career and is back in إيطاليا with Como, linking up with former إسبانيا و تشيلسي team-mate Fabregas who is the manager.
Morata had a tough 2024-25 campaign but still managed a combined 13 club goals for Milan and Galatasaray, winning the الدوري السوبر and Turkish Cup with the latter. He now has a new challenge to look forward to and Fabregas has revealed his tactical knowhow and interpersonal skills made him an attractive target.
Fabregas told Como’s website: “I’ve known Alvaro for many years and I’ve always admired the way he plays and the way he carries himself. He’s an intelligent striker who has delivered in the biggest moments and a team-mate who lifts everyone around him. We’re so happy to have him here at Como.”
Como were battered 5-0 by برشلونة in their final summer friendly and kick off their 2025-26 campaign in the كأس إيطاليا on Saturday against الدوري الإيطالي الدرجة الثانية outfit Sudtirol, with Morata hopeful of making his club debut.
