Fernandes shared photographs and videos of his son Goncalo’s birthday party, after he turned five. In one of the photographs, Goncalo can be seen enjoying his fifth birthday wearing a jersey, with Bellingham on the back. The captain couldn’t be with his son in person, as he is currently in Hungary for qualifier, but he did video chat with his youngest child.

In the caption of his Instagram post, Fernandes shared an emotional message for his son, which read: “Today is your youngest day. 5 years of the most cuddly and affectionate boy in the family. Thank you for all the joy and love you bring every day to those around you.”

The Portugal international was heavily linked with a move to the this summer as Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr tried to sign the Red Devils skipper. The midfielder, however, turned down those offers, as he wanted to continue with the giants. Recent reports, though, claim that he could be open to leaving Old Trafford next season, with a move to either MLS or to the Middle East on the cards.

After facing Hungary with Portugal in midweek, Fernandes will be back in action for Ruben Amorim’s side on September 14, as they take on rivals in the Premier League.
