- Venezuelan midfielder unleashed unstoppable shot
- Goal came shortly after Messi left the field with injury
- His seventh goal of the season
Telasco Segovia produced a moment of brilliance to give Inter Miami the lead against Club Necaxa in their second Leagues Cup 2025 match. The Venezuelan midfielder received a well-weighted pass from Rodrigo De Paul before unleashing a spectacular curling effort from outside the penalty area that flew into the net beyond the reach of the Necaxa goalkeeper. However, Necaxa striker Tomás Badaloni equalised for the away side 20 minutes after Segovia’s strike, levelling the scoreline going into the half-time break.

Segovia’s goal came at a crucial moment for the Herons, arriving shortly after captain Lionel Messi was forced to leave the pitch with a muscle injury just 10 minutes into the contest. Not only that, the Herons are also down to 10-men after Maximiliano Falcón’s sending off.
Inter Miami will look to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Leagues Cup 2025 as they continue their campaign. The Herons are in a strong position after beating Atlas 2-1 in their opening game and are currently locked in a 1-1 draw against Necaxa. They will face Pumas UNAM in their final group stage game of the tournament on Aug. 6.u0026nbsp;
