Sweden striker Isak finally sealed his move to Liverpool, ending a month-long standoff with Newcastle United. Wissa caused a similar stir at , forcing his move to Newcastle for £55 million after a public show of dissatisfaction. While Isak and Wissa were embroiled in standoffs, captain Guehi remained calm and collected amid ‘s interest. Unlike the two strikers, he led by example. Just a day before the deadline, he played a starring role in Palace’s 3-0 victory over , scoring the second goal and inspiring his side to the three points.
