- Onana faces uncertain Man Utd future
- Red Devils looking for new keeper
- In talks with Antwerp’s Lammens
متحد have been tracking the Belgian keeper for more than a month, and now, Fabrizio Romano states that personal terms are almost agreed with the 23-year-old. He adds that talks are underway as the Red Devils expect rival interest from teams in فرنسا و إيطاليا.
Onana was left out of United’s 1-0 loss to أرسنال last weekend, with Altay Bayindir preferred between the sticks – although he was at fault for the visitors’ winner. The fact that they are pursuing the 6ft 4in stopper suggests they are not content with the keepers at their disposal.
Lammens spent time in كلوب بروج‘s academy before joining Antwerp in 2023, where he signed a four-year deal. In March of this year, he was called up to بلجيكا‘s senior squad for the first time but is yet to make his international debut.
There is not all that long for United to sign Lammens as the transfer window shuts on September 1. If he is recruited, that could spell the end of Onana and Bayindir’s chances to be the Red Devils’ first-choice keeper this season.
