- Forward snubbed Saudi and MLS offers
Upon the expiration of his contract at Inter in June, Austrian forward Arnautovic has officially signed a contract at Red Star Belgrade, tying him to the Serbian SuperLiga outfit until June 2027. In the process, he has snubbed offers from the الدوري السعودي للمحترفين and MLS, as well as the likes of Rapid Vienna and Antalyaspor.
Arnautovic spent four seasons at Stoke City and two stints at Inter in his career and has a record 125 appearances for the Austrian national team. He was on loan at the Nerazzurri when they won the Champions League under Jose Mourinho in 2010, while he also claimed two الدوري الإيطالي titles with the club. Last season, he amassed seven goals and two assists across 28 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Arnautovic’s tenure for Stoke is considered his best for any club, as he recorded 26 goals and 28 assists across 145 appearances for the Potters.
Red Star will be taking on Lincoln Red Imps in the first leg of their Champions League’s second qualifying round on Tuesday.
