The Athletic have reported that Newcastle have rejected a formal offer from Liverpool for Alexander Isak after initially fielding informal interest from the Reds. Despite attempts to offer the striker a new contract with a 2026 release clause, Isak remains firm on his desire to leave. Senior players have encouraged him to stay, but the Swede has been training alone in San Sebastian at his former club, ‘s training ground, while Newcastle tour Asia.

Liverpool view Isak as a long-term option in their attacking line and are prepared to return with an improved offer.
