- Wrexham set to spend again
- Deal agreed for Ipswich forward
- Welsh side preparing for Championship life
Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are continuing to fund a summer spending spree at the Welsh club ahead of a season in the Championship. A deal has now been agreed for Ipswich Town forward Nathan Broadhead, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
,
Broadhead has spent time previously at Wrexham in the club’s academy before moving on to Everton and then Ipswich. He made 18 appearances last season in the الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز for the Tractor Boys, scoring twice, in a campaign that ultimately ended in relegation to the Championship.
,
Wrexham have invested heavily in the squad this summer, signing Liberato Cacace from Empoli, Lewis O’Brien from Nottingham Forest, Bolton captain George Thomason and Josh Windass from Sheffield Wednesday. The Welsh club have also been tipped to splash out on Sheffield United‘s Kieffer Moore, while manager Phil Parkinson has admitted the club have been in touch with former Manchester United star Christian Eriksen.
Reynolds and McElhenney will hope that the new arrivals can make an impact at Wrexham in the Championship in the 2025-26 campaign. After back-to-back-to-back promotions, the Welsh side are now just one division below their dream of reaching the Premier League. Wrexham kick off the new season against Southampton on Saturday, August 9.
