Another message was revealed in the second half, reading: “No one is above the club’s interests, no matter who they are.”
It was inevitable Sporting fans would have their say towards the want-away striker after recent reports claimed he refused to turn up to pre-season training last Friday in an attempt to force through a move to Arsenal. This follows previous reports that he was threatening going on strike following a fall-out with the club over a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ over his transfer fee. This all culminated in club president Frederico Varandas threatening the star with disciplinary action last weekend.
Reports in البرتغال suggest there is still a chance the deal does not go through amid disagreements between Arsenal and Sporting over the nature of £8.7m in bonuses included within the deal. There is still no guarantee Gyokeres departs Sporting at all.

With these latest reports, it is evident that fans have started to turn on the 27-year-old too.
