- Guardiola was in crowd at massive Oasis gig
- Met frontman Liam for first time
- Oasis star warmly described as ‘kind’
It’s been the hottest ticket of the summer and it’s no surprise one of the greatest managers of all-time was there to witness the event. City boss Guardiola has revealed he was given the VIP treatment at Oasis’ summer gig at Heaton Parkand met lead singer Liam for the very first time. And while the younger of the two Gallagher brothers may have a reputation as a bad boy, the Spaniard was happy to reveal he “was so kind!”
Guardiola said: “It was really good. The first time I’ve been in this country so it was لطيف - جيد. Being here in Manchester for the first time. They came here after many, many years. They have been the best rock band in the last 50 years. And I’m happy it’s back. It’s the first time I’ve met Liam. Noel I’ve been with many times, but Liam I never met before and I met him before the concert and he was so kind.”
Guardiola was spotted having a ball at the gig, with Oasis currently on a worldwide tour which has been breaking all the records – including one at the home of football, Wembley Stadium. Boozy gig-goers necked a staggering 250,000 pints per night at the recent gigs in north west London.
It’s back to reality for Guardiola this weekend when City face توتنهام, who have become one of the Spaniard’s bogey teams. Guardiola has lost nine games against Spurs in his managerial career, only suffering defeat on more occasions against ليفربول with ten.
