- Spanish model sets record straight on Yamal party claim
- Allegations emerge about request from party organisers
- Yamal celebrated 18th with big bash
Yamal’s birthday bash took place on July 12, reportedly aboard a private yacht kept secret until the last minute. It was reported in Spanish media that Calvo, a Spanish model, has said she was approached by organisers of the Barcelona star’s party to not only attend but also help gather 12 women with specific physical features. It was also reported that she declined after becoming uncomfortable with the nature of the requests.
Spanish outlet Extra, attributed the following quotes to Calvo and claims she said: “They focused mainly on breast size or hair colour, whether they were blonde.”
“Since I’ve been a nightclub waitress, I’ve met a few girls. I told them I was looking for these girls, and they said they were interested, but I mentioned that the organisers weren’t giving me any assurances about whether they should have any contact with any of the people who would be at the party.
“They were offering each girl $17,500 for 24 hours, and an exclusive credit card to spend during the celebration.”
On Monday, Calvo responded via Instagram, as she wrote: “I want to make it clear, officially, that I have only spoken about what I was personally informed of. At no point have I spoken about or mentioned anyone in connection with these accusations. Everything remains alleged, as there is no conclusive evidence or tangible proof. I apologise if my statement has been misinterpreted.”
Yamal, who turned 18 just days ago, is under intense public scrutiny as his fame continues to skyrocket. He has also been condemned for allegedly hiring dwarves as entertainers at his party. Organisers are yet to respond to the controversies.
Yamal has since returned for pre-season with Barcelona and the hope will be he can focus on his football as Hansi Flick’s side aim to defend La Liga and Copa del Rey trophies in 2025-26.
