Calciomercato reports that Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini is eyeing a reunion with his former protege, Manchester striker Hojlund, despite securing Evan Ferguson on loan from . Roma see Hojlund as a potential replacement for Dovbyk, who is wanted by and could join up with Tammy Abraham following his transfer from the Italian capital.

Gasperini previously coached Hojlund at , playing a key role in his development before the striker’s big-money move to United.
