According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, Everton are leading the chase for the البرازيل international but they want a loan deal, whereas Juventus would want a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of it. The report adds that Juve want to recoup as much as possible from their €50 million (£43m) outlay last summer.
Gazetta adds that Luiz, who is also wanted by the Hammers and Forest, will return to Juventus training on Monday after initially not turning up for their pre-season training camp last week. Other reports suggested he only wanted to join a ‘big’ club as the former Aston Villa man seeks to end his Juve nightmare. But this new update may suggest Luiz may no longer feel that way.
This summer, the midfielder has been linked with مانشستر يونايتد, Leeds متحد, West Ham, and Forest but for now, he remains a Juventus player. The 27-year-old made 27 appearances for the Italian giants last season but just six of those were starts.
It appears that with Everton and Juventus both wanting different things, his agent Kia Joorabchian has just over a month to try and find a solution that suits Luiz and the two clubs. Else, another season of toil beckons for the Brazilian.
