- Xhaka not worried about Jashari’s injury
- Lauds the youngster’s mental toughness
- Has no doubts he’ll return stronger
سويسرا captain Xhaka is not too concerned about the injury suffered by his وطني team-mate Jashari, with the سندرلاند star backing the Milan midfielder to bounce back stronger from the setback and shine for both club and country.
Just days after making his الدوري الإيطالي debut in a shock 2-1 defeat against Cremonese, the €39 million (£34m/$46m) signing collided with team-mate Santiago Gimenez during a training session. Upon further examination, Milan confirmed that the 23-year-old had sustained a compound fracture on the right fibula, with expected recovery and rehab timelines set for around two months.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Xhaka said: “I told him: ‘Your time will come.’ Ardon has a great future ahead of him, and with his move to Milan, he’s shown he can play for a great team. It’s a shame about the injury, but he’s quite strong mentally and will definitely come back even stronger.”
It is expected that Jashari will be cleared to return to light training somewhere around early November. He will be a huge miss for head coach Massimiliano Allegri, as the Rossoneri are set to face tough fixtures against بولونيا, Napoli, يوفنتوس, أتالانتا and perhaps روما in the youngster’s absence.
