- Completed big-money switch from Seagulls
- Helped Blues to Club كأس العالم crown
- Expects to challenge for more major honours
The Brazilian forward linked up with the Blues during the كأس العالم للأندية FIFA, with an epic journey to the متحد States taken in after severing ties with برايتون. Pedro settled quickly in Enzo Maresca’s squad, with three goals recorded en route to helping his new club land a global title.
Pedro was on target in a final showdown with باريس سان جيرمان, having immediately been made to feel at home, with any early nerves on his part quickly fading. The South American admits that he did not know what to expect from some of his more high-profile colleagues.
Pedro told Standard Sport of linking up with إنجلترا international Palmer: “Cole is a superstar. When I came to Chelsea I was a little bit scared about how he was going to react, because I was the main guy at Brighton. I knew Chelsea would be different. I said: ‘Cole, I’m here to help you’.”
Palmer and Pedro have already hit it off, with Chelsea hoping that they can contribute to more trophy triumphs in 2025-26. Pedro added: “He knows I can help him, and I know he can help me. We have a good chemistry on the pitch; I think he feels the same. Together, we can win more titles for Chelsea.”
The Blues have made an unbeaten start to the new الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز season, picking up seven points from three games, and Pedro – who has been on target in wins over وست هام و فولهام – will be back in domestic action on September 13 when facing برينتفورد.
