- Hojlund scores in 4-1 win over Bournemouth
- Amorim says future unclear amid Sesko interest
- Man Utd continue striker search before window closes
مانشستر يونايتد cruised to a 4-1 win over Bournemouth in Chicago, with Hojlund opening the scoring early. The Danish striker looked sharp, combining well in attack and showing his intent to remain a key figure. His performance came shortly after news broke that متحد had made Sesko their top striker target this summer.
Hojlund has stated he wants to stay at Old Trafford this summer and is under contract with Manchester United until 2030. However, the Red Devils’ interest in Sesko suggests they’re looking for more firepower in attack after their horror 2024-25 season. While Amorim praised Hojlund, he avoided making any long-term assurances about his status.
Speaking to the media, Amorim said: “I am really happy with Rasmus. I don’t know what is going to happen until the end of the market. The important thing is that the strikers that are here are working really well, are improving, are helping the team.”
When asked if he could talk about Sesko, Amorim added: “No. The important thing is that Rasmus is scoring goals, he’s connecting really well with the team.”
Talks with RB Leipzig over Sesko are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached yet. Manchester United remain hopeful of landing the Slovenian striker, though negotiations may take time. In the meantime, Hojlund will aim to make his mark and prove he still belongs in the No.9 role.
