- De Zerbi rant at Greenwood revealed
- Greenwood was taken off at half-time against PSG
The rant took place after Marseille’s 3-0 home defeat to PSG back in October, a match in which Greenwood was dragged off at half-time, and manager De Zerbi was clearly not happy with the ex-مانشستر يونايتد forward. He had some strong words in the dressing room after the final whistle, telling Greenwood he was “ready to lose it all”. The clip was revealed in a second instalment of the new six-part documentary uploaded to Marseille’s YouTube channel.
De Zerbi said: “Let me tell you in front of the chairman that I’ll become a different person. For me, football is social redemption. I have lost my family to football, Mason. Do you understand? I’m ready to lose it all. The chairman is a witness.”
Marseille are set to continue to release the rest of the episodes to the documentary in the coming weeks, revealing behind-the-scenes footage of life at the club in De Zerbi’s first season as head coach. Greenwood may feature often, having been involved in multiple controversies throughout the season. This includes a bust-up with team-mate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, which was recently revealed in the trailer to the documentary.
