- Milan eye Palace swoop
- Mateta keen on الدوري الإيطالي move
- Scored 17 goals last season
Per Sacha Tavolieri, Milan have identified Mateta as their top target this summer as they bid to reinforce their frontline. The Eagles star scored 17 goals in all competitions last season and is said to be keen on moving to Serie A, and has told his representatives to try to make a deal happen.
Mateta is also being eyed by Al-Hilal, but it is unclear exactly how much he would cost. The forward signed a new contract in December of 2024, meaning the south London club have plenty of negotiating power. Milan are also interested in Chelsea‘s Nicolas Jackson.
Mateta may have enjoyed a prolific الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز campaign but, amazingly, he failed to score in five FA Cup games, including the final, as Oliver Glasner’s side won the competition.
Palace will have to set a price for Mateta if Milan aim to formalise their interest in the 28-year-old. He is unlikely to come cheap.
