- £52m deal for Madueke agreed
- Trossard reportedly agreed to switch after Mourinho contact
- Bayern rumoured to be interested in Belgian
Madueke’s £52m ($70m) switch from Chelsea is expected to be completed imminently, with the winger missing the Blues’ Club كأس العالم final win to iron out the final details of the move. Sky Sports reports the player will complete his medical later today. That deal will likely make Trossard surplus to requirements, with the Belgian now free to complete a switch to Fenerbahce, according to The Times.
Reports suggest Trossard agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants after talks with Jose Mourinho, who was able to convince the player of his vision and project. Talks over a contract renewal between the north London club and the 30-year-old winger reached an impasse earlier this summer, while the signing of Madueke and pursuit of other left-sided attacker signalled Trossard would slip down the pecking order at the Emirates.
Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023, for an initial fee of £20m, plus £7m in add-ons. He has scored 28 goals in 124 appearances for the club.
While Trossard has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Fenerbahce, he could well have his head turned. Bayern Munich‘s pursuit of a left-sided attacker have fallen flat so far this summer, making them something of a surprise suitor for Trossard’s services. Will his head be turned by the Bavarian giants?
