وفق الرياضي Leipzig are stepping up their efforts to bring back Nkunku from the Blues after the Frenchman fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have been in talks with the club on a separate transfer of Xavi Simons, as the Dutchman only wants a move to the West London club.

The report adds that Leipzig are not close to finalising a deal for Nkunku, whom Chelsea values at €50million (£43.2m/$58.2m). Both the side and the French attacker want a permanent transfer and put an end to his misery at Stamford Bridge.

If Chelsea cannot sell Nkunku this summer, that couldjeopardise their move for outcast Alejandro Garnacho. are said to want at least £50m for the 21-year-old, who only wants to join the Blues before the transfer window shuts on September 1.
