- Ferguson moves to روما on a loan
- He has chosen the No. 11 jersey
- Roma look to add more signings this summer
Ferguson will wear the No. 11 jersey, with Roma confirming his arrival from برايتون on a loan deal with an option to buy in their official statement. The move is a historic one as he becomes the first ever Irish player to have joined Roma.
Ferguson joined Brighton in 2021, netting 17 goals and adding six assists. A series of injuries stalled his progress, leading to a six-month loan at وست هام. While Roma had also shown interest in مانشستر يونايتد striker Rasmus Hojlund, they ultimately focused on Ferguson, securing his approval to join.
Roma had been keen on Colombian midfielder Richard Ríos but were beaten to his signing by بنفيكا‘s swift move. However the Giallorossi now remain focused on فلامنجو'س ويسلي as they continue efforts to strengthen Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.
Ferguson will hope that he will be able to hit the ground running in إيطاليا and return to some of that form the had with Brighton before his injuries. Meanwhile Roma and director Frederic Massara will look to reinforce the squad with some valuable additions.
