Ederson’s time at City may be nearing its conclusion as Pep Guardiola begins reshaping his squad ahead of the upcoming campaign. Although City have yet to issue a formal response to the bid, the initial figure is considered significantly below market value for a player of Ederson’s calibre and pedigree, as reported by L’Equipe.
Since his arrival in 2017 from Benfica in a £35m ($47m) deal, Ederson has been an integral part of City’s domestic and European dominance. Across 372 appearances in all competitions, the 31-year-old has recorded an impressive 168 clean sheets and contributed to a trophy-laden era under Guardiola. City have already begun planning for life beyond Ederson. Barcelona‘s Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of several goalkeepers being monitored, but a potential surgery could see him continue in Spain.
