- Liverpool consider shock move for Rashford
- Man Utd outcast likely to leave the club
- Isak remains Reds’ number one priority
The Reds have had a busy transfer window this summer, thus far, having signed Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. After bolstering their defence and midfield, the English champions have now shifted focus to their attack as they aim to sign a new No.9.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday that Liverpool have made a formal approach to Newcastle in an attempt to sign Alexander Isak this summer. While no bid has yet been tabled, they have told the Magpies that they would be willing to do a deal at £120m ($161m). The Magpies, however, are unlikely to sell as they could offer a new lucrative deal to the Swedish forward soon.

The Daily Mail now reports that a shock name has appeared in the Reds’ shortlist of forwards. They are considering a swoop for متحد outcast Rashford, who is pushing to leave Old Trafford this summer. However, the report adds that talks over a potential deal for Rashford have not progressed in the Liverpool boardroom.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool will now travel to Asia for their pre-season tour and are scheduled to face AC Milan next in Hong Kong on July 26, before taking on Yokohama F. Marinos four days later in Japan.
