- Kolo Muani has impressed during Juventus loan spell
- Newcastle and United also linked with Ekitike
- PSG signed striker for £74m in 2023
Footmercato reports that the two الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز clubs are pursuing a deal for the 26-year-old, as they look for alternatives to Hugo Ekitike. Kolo Muani has thrived since joining Juventus on a loan deal earlier this season, scoring eight goals in 19 appearances for the Bianconeri. The Italian club are keen to extend Kolo Muani’s stay in Turin, but it is believed PSG want a permanent switch for the player.
Newcastle are bracing themselves for the possible departure of star striker Alexander Isak, amid interest from Liverpool. United are looking to bolster their front-line with an out-and-out number nine, having snapped up Matheus Cunha earlier in the window. The Red Devils have reportedly secured a deal for their long-time transfer target Bryan Mbeumo.
Kolo Muani joined PSG in the summer of 2023, for a reported fee of £76.4m. The striker had excelled at Eintracht Frankfurt bagging 26 goals in 50 games in the 2022/23 season. Since joining PSG, he has struggled for game time. Prior to his loan switch to Juventus, Kolo Muani featured in just 10 الدوري الفرنسي 1 games in the 2024/25 season for Les Parisisens, making the bulk of his appearances from the bench.
Kolo Muani’s success at Juventus has proven he can still cut it at the top level, and he will be a hot commodity until he secures a permanent move away from the French capital. However, his move may be dependent on other high-profile moves, such as Isak’s departure from St. James’ Park, for any transfer to come to fruition.
